Movie App - Scene feature

I like to watch movies but I also like to watch scenes from great movies over and over again. I made a small prototype of a scene feature in fictional movie streaming app where the user can dive deeper into a specific scene of a movie. The feature also includes a short trivia of the scene.

Waste Management App

UI design of fictional application for better waste management. Inspiration for this came from my personal experience. In our household, it would serve the purpose better if I could order the waste collection whenever it is needed. At the moment our waste are collected every two weeks. The main problem is that you cannot know for sure if the waste container is totally full within two weeks. So it would be better two have the waste collected whenever it's ok for me. So when the waste container is full, I order the waste company to collect the waste via mobile app.

I also added little extra features for example sensors for the container that tell the app how full the container is. Also I added a diagram feature to follow the user's waste amount per time period. Not to mention a wild idea where the waste collection for the bottles and cans. This would help the consumer to avoid carrying the empty beverage containers in the store machines and waiting in the line with other consumers.

Tools in this case I used Figma for the design & prototype and Rotato app for the mockup 3d animation.

UI design of fictional mobile app just for fun! Tools in this case I used Figma for the design & prototype, Rotato app for mockups and bringing up the video and phone frame together. Also After effects for few small video modifications.

Pohde - Digital Services

As part of the reform of Wellbeing Services County of North Ostrobothnia, Pohde, created a MVP version of search service in order to help the users to find proper help in digital services. I was in a leading role of the UX/UI design in the project which involved wireframing, UI visual design, prototyping and creating of Figma library for the UI components.

Runtelibike.com

Runtelibike makes custom TIG welded steel bikes for cyclists based on their measurements.

My job was to create new visual style for the website and take photos of the bikes. I was given pretty much free hands for the visual design. I have always wanted to play with yellow and black so I thought that color combination would make a perfect fit for this dirt racing type of attitude.

I also got a change to arrange the photography of the bicycles. I didn't have previous experience of bike photographing but the outcome turned out really good. Bike photos also play quite big role in the website.

Hyvän olon pirtti

Logo design for small massage center Hyvän olon pirtti. Logo is designed to be used as a combination but also individually as a symbol or text. The client wanted the logo to include hands, a cabin and a feeling of warm welcome.

Huvivuokra.fi

Huvivuokra.fi is a company that rents for example bouncy castles, popcorn and cotton candy machines and pedal cars in Oulu region. The products are really cool addons to children birthday parties to add a little extra fun for every guest.

Their old sites were desperately in need of a redesign. Even though the sites didn’t have very much content they still were really difficult for the user. Also the previous logo needed an update.

I ended up doing a user-friendly ecommerce-style website with more images and useful information. The customer didn’t rule out the option that the website could some day expand into an actual webshop so the structure already supports it. I created the site with Webflow which seems to support SEO pretty good also.

I didn’t have any strict instructions for the logo so I decided to design a recognizable and playful logo with illustration and text part. The “fox” is using quite heavily colours so I though the text should be simple as possible. This was all in all a really nice little project.

PUE235 clothing company

PUE235 is a clothing company that was invented at the end of 2017 together with my two brothers as a hobby. The whole idea started from the legendary Finnish teletext service Teksti-TV. More precisely page 235 which presents the recent NHL (National Hockey League) results. Also the idea is to bring up a very effective news service that Teksti-TV still is after serving at least 35 years.

At first we had only one t-shirt nothing else. I didn’t have any experience of product photographing but after a little practice with cheap light equipment I have managed to get pretty decent product shots. I also bought white and black background (blackout curtains) which are serving the purpose very well.

We needed to launch quickly a small website that mainly contained few photos. Instagram was and still is our main advertising channel but we had to have a place to sell our clothing. First we launched free Holvi webshop but with so little modification possibilities I decided to switch to a Wordpress Woocommerce shop. I found a suitable base theme which I have been modifying more for our purposes and style. Next thing is to plan and conduct usability test for the webstore.

Lepolan tila

Lepolan tila is a cozy little family run home zoo in Haukipudas part of the Northern Ostrobothnia region. In addition to animals such as sheeps, goats, ducks and a horse Lepola has berry plantations like strawberry and rasberry, honey and chicken eggs production.

Our collaboration started with the need of a logo for chicken egg case. Then as the business expanded also logo was needed for honey and berries. In a bit unusual way the main logo was made last. Eventually own website were considered necessary for business and information presentation purposes.

This has been very nice project for me and our cooperation continues as the business is getting bigger all the time.
